The five-seated matryoshka doll remains the most popular nesting doll. But very often you can come across three-, seven-, ten and feefteen-seated matrioshka dolls. The latter is not the biggest. In 1913 a 48-setaed matryoshka was turned. But such a doll is a great rarity, its making requires a great deal of the craftsman’s virtuosity and manufacturing en masse of such nesting dolls is impossible.
